We are thrilled at the prospect of working with you as an admissions volunteer. Members of the network may choose to be involved in our recruiting efforts in a number of ways including having conversations with current applicants, contacting admitted students, and representing Colby at college fairs.

Please note: Alumni volunteers may not meet with any applicant they know personally, nor any applicant with a family member they know socially or professionally. If you are a parent or guardian of a high school senior, we ask you to please refrain from volunteering with admissions at this time.

As an Alumni Admissions Volunteer, I acknowledge and agree that the Colby College Alumni Admissions Volunteer Handbook is the confidential property of Colby College and its contents may not be disclosed by me without the written consent of an authorized member of the staff of the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. I also acknowledge that, although a prospective student’s application and interview information is not subject to the privacy protections of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”), it is the policy of the Colby College Office of Admissions and Financial Aid that all information provided to me by a prospective student and any report submitted by me concerning a prospective student are absolutely confidential. I agree not to discuss a prospective student’s information with or disclose the contents of any report to any person other than an authorized member of the staff of the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. I understand that these agreements made by me are a continuing condition of my service as an Alumni Admissions Volunteer.*
